wow. it seems like every day since right after the first of the year has just blurred into one long day and then vanished. i have definitely done so much, but feel like i have done so very little of my normal routine. exhaustion+sleep has been the general feeling around here these days. anywho, this is what's been up:

yep, this is pretty much my look these cold winter days. the usual pile-on consists of supersoft knit, open cardi, silk scarf, leather bomber, and blanket coat. pair with any sort of black knit pant and the boot is pretty much the only thing that varies.

quit trying to make chambritis happen.

i caught a fever-and the only cure is chambray! clearly, i've come down with chambritis. (no, this word is definitely not happening...unlike fetch) for reals though, i have a serious addiction. i recently lost a dear old j crew chambray top *RIP* to the well-worn gods but have still been wearing it under things, in a pitiful attempt to extend its life.

cut to the day i'm at work and doing some super unexpected manual labor and sweating like the proverbial whore in church. and i in no way can remove my top layer cause my chambrays got holes at the bust, at the shirt tail, pretty much anywhere i had tugged or pulled over the last year. woops.
so finally i says to myself, "self, you gotta replace that shirt" and i go online and find a seemingly perfect replacement at the j crew factory site. how perfect!

except for the fact that it wasn't perfect. at all. it was buzz, your girlfriend woof in fact. so back he went.

and just when i thought i may die in a beat up old chambray button down-heavens forbid i just go without this sartorial staple...i walk past an entire denim window display at h&m and find these two bad boys!

so pretty much the only ones left were in my size. and both of them together was less than the j crew factory one, and way less than the j crew one.

boom. chambritis cured.
